Burnside Memorial Hall - Honorary Secretary
Added on 29 July 2021
Serving the villages of Plumtree, Normanton-on-the-Wolds and Clipston-on-the-Wolds since 1921, the Burnside Memorial Hall is a registered charity, managed by trustees from the three villages. The Hall is at the heart of the local community and is, for example, the venue for Plumtree School events and Parish Council meetings for both Plumtree and Normanton-on-the-Wolds. The ideal venue for meetings, children’s parties, family parties, wedding receptions, christening celebrations, clubs, classes and special events, the Hall is funded from hiring fees, donations, grants and occasional fundraising events.
Currently we are seeking the services of an Honorary Secretary. Expressions of interest are invited from anyone who feels they would like to get involved and wishes to find out more about the role. A job description is available.
The post is voluntary, and the time required to fulfil the duties is not onerous. During the financial year, which begins on October 1st, two or three meetings of the Trustees are held, usually in the Burnside Hall.
If you would like the opportunity to help your community, by getting involved with the successful running of the Burnside Hall, I would love to hear from you. Please contact me by email or telephone for further details.
Kind regards,
Mike Clark
